1:1 Coaching
Sometimes the thing holding you back is the way you are thinking about it
Most people get glimpses of this on their own. The hard part is knowing what to do with what you find. That is where coaching comes in.
Who this is for
There is a particular kind of stuck that is hard to explain to other people. Life is fine, broadly speaking. But there is a pattern that keeps repeating. A decision you keep putting off. A version of yourself you keep meaning to become. Something you want that you keep finding reasons not to go after.
Most people carry this for longer than they need to. Not because they lack self-awareness, often the opposite is true. But because thinking harder about a problem using the same thinking that created it rarely gets you very far.
Some patterns need more than a good friend and a honest conversation. They need someone who is trained to see what you cannot.
The approach
Analytical rigour. Genuine empathy. Not a common combination
What you get is someone who will take what you say seriously, think carefully about what is actually going on, and work with you to find the thinking that is keeping you where you are. No scripts. No affirmations. No telling you what to do. Just clear, structured thinking, together.
That combination comes from somewhere specific. My background before coaching was over a decade in actuarial roles, the kind of work where you learn to find the signal in the noise, to ask the question underneath the question, and to make sense of things that look complicated until you look at them properly.
When I trained as an NLP Coach and Master Practitioner, something became clear fairly quickly. The analytical way of thinking I had always had did not disappear when I walked into a coaching session. It shaped the way I listened, the questions I asked, and the frameworks I reached for. It turned out that bringing a structured, rigorous mind into a coaching conversation produced something a bit different to what most people expect from a coach.

On NLP
It is less strange than it sounds
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a framework for understanding how the mind works. Specifically, how the patterns of thinking and language we use shape what we believe is possible, what we do, and what results we get.
In a coaching context it is practical, not abstract. We are looking at the thinking patterns that are running in the background, the ones that feel like facts but are actually just habits of mind. Once they are visible, they become workable.
You do not need to know anything about NLP before we speak. You just need to be willing to think honestly about what is going on.
The first step is a conversation
A discovery call takes around thirty minutes. We talk through what is going on for you, what you have already tried, and whether coaching, and specifically working with me, feels like the right fit. I am based in north London and work with people in person and online. There is no obligation and no pressure. If it is not the right match, I will say so.
